Feeling caught up in the much discussed rat race? The average individual does the bare minimum because they silence out their true calling for stability in a paycheck. In 2020 the world got silenced, our physical and mental health served as precedence over our finances for once. We all spent so much time with ourselves and realized the impact relying on a job is when unemployment started to rear its nasty head.
The year 2020 is where I discovered my thirst for knowledge, I discovered my passion …... I discovered why a Bachelor's Degree in Biology was of no importance in my book, why school was just a winding road in the complete and wrong direction, why at 26 I felt like I embarked on a journey with no sense of direction.
I have always been an athlete, but I started pushing myself in the gym physically, started learning more on financial literacy, focused on my mental health and lastly my true love of Investing. I started to acknowledge that my thirst for knowledge in all areas of my life was growing with no limit to what and how much I can learn. It was like a fire inside me was lit and could not be put out.
I Remember working as a youth support counselor for troubled teens and my program director asked me what my purpose was …… that question changed my life! She had me speechless as she embarked on enlightening me on how once I discover my purpose for being here, that each day will be different. Ms Woods emphasized on the discovery of my passion and living through my truth, she explained that this would be the driving factors on feeling purposeful and aligned with a sense of direction.
I fell in love with the idea of investing in the stock market and as a person of color i realized my true purpose was to teach and bring more awareness on certain topics. The more I learned , the more excited I felt and enthusiastic about educating the people around me.
The more knowledge I ventured out to acquire, the more it made sense to apply and learn in all areas of my life. I started to learn more on fitness, mental health, financial literacy, credit, business, real estate and the quest for knowledge will continue as the world is a vast place and learning never stops. Discover what makes you rant on to your friends and get excited to teach them your new discovery on what makes you feel most purposeful. Your work will always fill a large part of your life, the best way to feel fulfilled is to find your passion and fuel that to live through your purpose.
Stay Educated
