Social Media Isn’t About Being Popular — It’s About Being Useful

Most people overcomplicate social media.

They think they need to be influencers.

They think they need to be entertaining or trendy.

But that’s not what builds real growth.

As explained in Crushing It!, success on social media comes from one thing:

Consistently delivering value.

You Don’t Need to Be “Good” at Social Media

I’ll be honest—

I’m not the most social media savvy person.

I don’t always know the trends.

I don’t always feel creative.

But that doesn’t stop me from showing up.

Because I realized something:

You don’t need to be great at social media—

you just need to share what you know.

Your knowledge, experiences, and lessons already have value.

Document, Don’t Perform

Instead of asking,

“What should I post?”

Start asking,

“What did I learn today?”

That’s the difference.

You’re not trying to impress people—you’re letting them grow with you.

Turn Knowledge Into a Brand

Social media is more than content.

It’s the bridge between:

  • what you know

  • what you’re building

  • and who you serve

Your consistency becomes your strategy.

Focus on Value Over Perfection

People don’t follow perfection.

They follow clarity.

They follow honesty.

They follow value.

A simple post that teaches something real will always matter more than something that just looks good.

Start Simple

You don’t need to do everything at once.

Start with:

  • simple posts

  • clear ideas

  • consistent effort

Then build from there.

Final Thought

You don’t need to be the loudest voice online.

You just need to be a consistent one.

Execution over emotions. Always.

For me social meadia is definitely used is to share what I know and the love for my craft to people that may not know how to cook, or they are looking ideas. I love that you mentioned about being a consistent voice and that was what I had struggled with.

Great post! Definitely took something away from this. To me, social media gives me anxiety. Looking at it going forward, I won’t be performing but I’ll be documenting my own reality!
